MAEER's MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG), Pune is the first institute of its kind in India & Asia to initiate a one-year full time residential academic program titled "Masters Program in Government or MPG" for a career in Politics. The students in this program undergo rigorous training on various aspects of Politics & Government.
We belive in ,there is a leader hidden within us. The few who let go of their inhibitions and seek to find answers are the ones who take a lead and inspire others. The society desires a leader, who is dynamic, proactive, capable and above all, knowledgeable. There are a multitude of unanswered questions which we help in addressing and channelizing the energy of aspiring leaders helping them realize their dream.
For the student participants of MPG, the responsibility begins from the day they enroll in this program. During the course of the year, they will be exposed to a large storehouse of information on various subjects that affect the daily lives of the citizens of the country. They will observe at first and the functioning of various democratic institutions of not just India, but some European countries as well. They will be required to undertake significant projects,case studies and participate in a number of activities in the interest of the society. Every effort will be taken by the institute to instill in the participants a sense of national pride and the readiness to serve the society in any corner of the country.Students can complete their Internships with Political Leaders & offices of the Political parties.
In regard this innovative program one of its kind in Asia MPG , MITSOG has taken step towards academic allicnces with various organisations like TATA Institute of Social Sciences (Deemed University under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956), Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament No. 35/2012, ),Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (An Institution of National Council for Cooperative Training, Pune) & The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work (USA)

- Selection Process:
The selection process for admissions to Master's Programme in Government (MPG) comprises of a written test consists of 5 descriptive type questions based on current & political affairs followed by a personal interview by the selection panel. The written test includes 5 descriptive type questions based on current & political affairs. Each has to be answered in approx 100 words.
- Final Result & Admission offer:
The offer letter of the selected participant shall be couriered to the corresponding address mentioned in the admission application form and information will also be conveyed to the applicant within two days of the announcement of the result.
- Admission Confirmation:
The selected Applicants for MPG need to pay the first installment of course fee i.e. Rs. 1,00,000/- to be paid as informed to the candidate. (Rs. 25000/- non-refundable in case of withdrawal of admission on or before June 30, 2015)
- To Apply:
Kindly fill in all the details in the attached admissions application form. Attach photocopy of mark sheets (10, 12 & Graduation or 2nd year if appearing for final year examinations), one residential proof, 2 passport size color photographs and admissions fee of Rs. 1100/- via Demand Draft favoring MIT School of Government" payable at Pune. Send these to our admissions office at Pune (the admission fee can be alternatively deposited instead of DD in our account as per details below) -

Graduate from any faculty is eligible to apply for the selection process of MPG. Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the program provided they are able to present their final year mark sheet in original to the office. The upper age limit is 30 years.
