Insight

Insight is a National Level Construction Techies Conference. Our commitment for Insight is to offer a student-industry interphase that bridges the gap between theory and practice. Insight was established in the year 2013 with the vision to train civil engineering graduates and students in fundamentals of construction practices to make them more suitable for the Civil Industry. Insight has been coming up with different themes every year so as cope up in skilled manpower to fulfill the growing requirement. More than 1200 students attended in last two years from different universities all over India.

This year in Insight’16 we have chosen the theme as Smart India. Experts predict the world’s urban population will double by 2050 – which means we need to add 7 cities equivalent to New Delhi to the planet. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has accelerated the project of 100 Smart Cities in India by announcing the guidelines for qualifying cities. Smart Cities optimize the use of technology in the design and operation of infrastructure and buildings in a way that meets the current and future needs of their citizens. Truly smart cities should be more than just harnessing technology; they require consideration of governance and growth, urban development and infrastructure, the environment and natural resources, society and community.

Our primary focus for Insight’16 is to encourage the participants to ideate on some of the critical aspects that enhance the quality of life in a city and construct a sustainable city, therefore marching towards a smarter India.
