The 4th Convocation Ceremony- The Dikshant Samaroh of MIT-World Peace University took place with great enthusiasm at the World Peace Dome, Rajbaugh, Loni Kalbhor, on Saturday, 8th October 2022. The campus was dotted with smiling faces of students ready to receive their degrees and step into the bigger world.
Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, the Honourable Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Government of India was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. Kasturirangan, the former head of ISRO and the Chairperson of NEP 2020 was the Guest of Honor. It was presided over by Revered Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, the President of MIT-WPU.
Dr. Vishwananth Karad congratulated the students with the words, “The day has come when India is emerging as the center of knowledge in front of the whole world to show the pathway of harmony and peace to mankind.”
Dr. Kasturirangan motivated the students with the words, “If you think that you can or can’t do a thing, you are right. Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress and working together is a success.
The Chief Guest Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh said, “We are at a point in history where rapid changes are taking place on all fronts- technologically, economically, politically, and socially. With fast-changing technology, the only mantra to keep the peace is to keep learning and to keep relearning. Rahul Karad, the Executive President of MIT-WPU, said “All programs at the MIT World Peace University has a strong connection with society. MIT-WPU has always focused on molding students into complete human beings who will become true contributors to society.”
The Deans of the various Schools at MIT-WPU congratulated the students who worked hard to complete their degrees. And as per the Indian tradition, the students donned pagdis and kurtas instead of the convocation tams and robes. They pledged to be honest citizens of the country and contribute wholeheartedly to its progress and growth.
