About Us

Nestled amid the tranquil surroundings of Alandi, the MIT World Peace School stands as a beacon of academic excellence and character development. A hallmark of the MIT World Peace School is its innovative integration of SDGSustainable Development Goals into the curriculum. This forward-thinking approach bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. We engage students in activities that positively impact the community, instilling a strong sense of responsibility and empathy, to cultivate socially conscious global citizens. The spectrum of activities at the MIT World Peace School is as diverse as it is engaging. The school’s Post School Activities (PSA) program empowers students to channel their passions and interests beyond the classroom. The school’s commitment to nurturing strong foundational skills in numeracy and literacy is unwavering. Recognising the pivotal role these skills play in a student’s academic journey, the curriculum places significant emphasis on their development. This approach equips students to excel in higher education and prepares them to interact with the world confidently and capably. MIT World Peace School, Alandi is more than a mere educational institution; it’s a crucible of comprehensive growth and innovative learning. With student-centric methodologies, a rich spectrum of extracurricular programs, dedicated educators, and an unyielding commitment to excellence, the school is shaping a generation of socially responsible, well-rounded individuals poised to make a positive impact on society and the world at large.

PRINCIPAL

The philosophy of present K12 education is to transform the approach from teacher-centred to student-centric. We can achieve this by creating more engaging lessons and an evaluation system that leads to ownership. In MIT World Peace School we are determined to create student agencies to empower students with all the 21st Century skills. We believe in an education that has the right mix of science and spiritualism. Our students and teachers practise Yoga and meditation on a regular basis along with solving real life problems using science and technology. We are aligned towards the UNICEF Sustainable Development Goals and made our schools a ‘No Plastic Zone’. Our students get trained in several vocational disciplines like gardening, cooking, public speaking, etc. We practise a ‘No Bag Day’ to encourage learning out of the traditional methods. Our assessment system is 360 degree where we involve peers, parents and self evaluation. Our objective is to transform the assessment of learning to assessment with learning through the skill based evaluation system.
