Fighting Hunger, Spreading Love: Mission Neki’s Touching Gesture on MIT-WPU’s 40th Foundation Day Celebration

Mission Neki, an integral part of the Innovation Hub social initiative wing stands as a beacon of social innovation, guided by a vision to create a world where surplus resources are channeled to uplift the less fortunate. Its core purpose lies in addressing pressing issues such as food wastage and hunger while also contributing significantly to the broader landscape of sustainable development. By aligning with nine out of the seventeen UN goals and executing impactful initiatives like the food grain donation drive, Mission Neki exemplifies the transformative power of collective action in creating a more just and compassionate society.

This initiative, rooted in compassion and responsibility, strives to close the gap between abundance and deprivation, specifically focusing on tackling the rampant issue of food wastage in India.

A recent substantive milestone of Mission Neki was the 5-day food grain donation drive organized on the auspicious 40th foundation day of MIT-WPU. During this event, 400 grain kits were distributed to individuals who rely on daily wage labor. This not only provided essential sustenance to those in need but also symbolized the embodiment of Mission Neki’s vision and purpose—bridging disparities, fostering empathy, and championing social well-being.
