MIT Vishwaprayag University, Solapur, established in 2023 by an Act of the Government of Maharashtra, is a premier state private university. Our sprawling 55-acre campus on the Solapur-Pune highway is designed to be a greenfield university, emphasising multidisciplinary research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Our mission is to transform students into responsible and mindful citizens, prioritising their overall well-being alongside imparting essential competencies. We currently offer diverse programs in Engineering, Computing, Design, and Management, aiming to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for their future careers. MEET THE VICE CHANCELLOR

Prof. Gopalkrishna Joshi

Vice Chancellor

Prof. Gopalkrishna Joshi is deeply engaged in the practice and research of outcome-based education. He has significantly contributed to innovations in the first-year engineering curriculum and project-based learning (PBL) practices. With 53 publications to his credit, he has also designed and conducted numerous faculty development programs. He has trained over 3000 faculty members in “Outcome Based Education Practices” and more than 3500 faculty members in “Examination Reforms in Engineering Education” for AICTE, New Delhi. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Institution of Engineers (India), the Association of Computing Machinery, and the Indian Society for Technical Education. He serves on the Board of the Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education, an organisation dedicated to enhancing the quality of engineering education in India, and the Board of IT Education Standards (BITES), a Bengaluru-based non-profit organisation. Additionally, he is a member of the Advisory Body of the UNESCO Centre for PBL in Engineering Education at Aalborg University, Denmark.
