MIT Group of Institutions initiated the revolutionary spread of technical education in Maharashtra, facilitating quality education to a knowledge-deprived society which was then dependent on very few Government Engineering Institutions. Maharashtra Institute of Technology, the flagship establishment of the MIT Group of Institutions was established in the year 1983, under the trust called MAEER, an acronym for "Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research.” MIT, Pune is one of the first nine private Engineering institutions in Maharashtra. It's a dream come true of a simple and dedicated teacher Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder of MIT Group who coveted that quality education should reach the masses and be made available to every merit holder irrespective of one's class, creed or religion.

Founded in 2011, the Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad is a national platform to encourage student leadership who are politically and socially active to come and share their views on a diverse platform. Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS) plays a vital role in reshaping the mindset of the youth and stoking their passion for entering public life.
Bharat Asmita National Awards are a distinguished accolade that acknowledges individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the advancement of Bharat. The selection committee invites over 15,000 nominations from various sectors, including government, media, and NGOs. Since its inception in 2005, these awards have earned a reputation of high esteem and reverence.
A living site of Interreligious peace and dialogue, the World Peace Dome constructed at the picturesque Vishwarajbaug, Pune, is not only the largest dome in the world but a living heritage of harmonious amalgamation of eastern spiritual peace and western scientific wisdom exemplifying the ethos of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – ‘The World is One family. The magnificent structure with 160 ft. diameter and 263 ft height contains 54 larger-than-life-size bronze statues of many outstanding Saints, Scientists and Philosophers from Saint Dnyaneshwar to Albert Einstein. It is an embodiment of establishing a culture of peace and sustainable development that are at the heart of UNESCO’s mandate.
The “Arya Chanakya Maharashtra Awards” are a notable recognition of exceptional achievements in the fields of judiciary, executive, legislature, and media. This initiative is a joint endeavour by the esteemed MIT School of Government and Doordarshan Sahyadri Channel, supported by the eminent Ministry of Cooperation and Parliamentary Affairs and the prestigious Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad Foundation. The awards serve as a platform to acknowledge exceptional individuals. It honours those who have made a significant contribution in their respective domains in the State of Maharashtra.
