Yashwantrao Chavan Rural (YCR) Hospital, Latur, was established in 1990 by visionary educationist Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, Executive President and Managing Trustee of Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research, Pune with an objective of meeting the long felt need of Comprehensive Healthcare Services at the doorstep of people of rural Marathwada. For the last 33 years, this hospital has been providing primary to tertiary healthcare facilities to underprivileged and downtrodden, thus providing all possible humanitarian medical services to rural masses. A menage of 201 full-time Doctors includes well-qualified competent healthcare providers. YCR Hospital caters semiurban-semirural population with its urban and rural healthcare centres. This provides a wide population base to learn various aspects in healthcare. Superspeciality services in ten branches benefit to the patients and students.

It is a matter of pleasure and pride to be a part in the development, growth and achievement of MIMSR Medical College, Latur, Maharashtra. The college was established under the Trust, MAEER MIT World Peace Centre, Pune in 1990 with an admission capacity of 150 students per year for the MBBS course. Admissions are done through the entrance exam (NEET), Government of Maharashtra and Central Counselling at the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Mumbai. There are Postgraduate degree courses in the subjects of Medicine, Paediatrics, Dermatology and Venereology, Anaesthesia, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, ENT, Community Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Physiology and Biochemistry. Students are admitted as per the rules of the Government of Maharashtra.
